Frequently Asked Questions
Will applying for a pre-approval hurt my credit?
NO. Our pre-approval process does not result in an inquiry on your credit bureau.
What vehicles are available?
Our network of dealers and wholesalers is vast. We do not specialize in rare cars, however, if your preference of vehicle is common, or somewhat common, our sales professionals will be able to secure what you are looking for. To share vehicle preference descriptions simply email info@onestopautoloan.com and put your full name and pre-approval reference number in the email heading.
What are the interest rates?
The available rates will be the same or similar to what you would be offered visiting a dealership. Interest rates are determined by the banks according to credit approvals/profiles. Higher risk credit profiles will receive higher interest rate approvals.
What additional information is or may be required?
Your driver's license or government ID will be required to purchase and finance a vehicle. Sometimes banks require proof of income to process a loan. Proof of insurance and registration (ownership) is also required to satisfy financing requirements.
Are the vehicles inspected?
In Alberta all vehicles sold to consumers require a signed AMVIC inspection and Carfax report. You will receive both.
What if I have bad credit?
We will connect you with a finance specialist for non-prime loans. Most likely you will be required to produce proof of income and possess a minimum of a class 5 drivers license. To speed up the process please email your 2 most recent pay stubs and a picture of your driver's license to info@onestopautoloan.com referencing your pre-approval reference number and full name in the email heading.
How do I find my credit score?
Credit Karma is a free service to sign up to, from an app on your phone or at https://www.creditkarma.ca on your computer. Most banks offer a free credit score on online banking apps and sites as well.
